Malcolm "Duke" Thomas Dufrene

Malcolm Thomas Dufrene entered peacefully into heaven on Saturday, December 6, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Betty Rochefort Dufrene. Loving father of Cheryl Williams Whiting (Harry), Chad David Dufrene (Claire), Stacey Dufrene (Carl) and Malcolm Joseph Rochefort. A proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Son of the late Yvonne Mae Boudreaux Dufrene and Adles Peter Dufrene. Brother of Ruth D. Perron, Jeannette D. Tauzin, Joy D. Barras and preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas and Claude Dufrene. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 75, a native of Raceland, LA and a lifelong resident of Marrero. “Duke” retired from Barnet Marine after over 25 years and worked for Vinson Guard Services for many years. He enjoyed his Saints, spending time with family and friends and life in general.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Faith Temple Church of God 800 S. Jamie Blvd. Avondale, LA.
