Mark Irvin Andrus

Mark was the loving husband of Susan Andrus for over 45 years. Proud father of Tara Carter (Jason) and Quentin Andrus. Brother of Scott Andrus (Carol), Daryl Andrus (Jill), and Tammy Rottman. Stepson of Bill Yager. Mark is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Mark was known for his charm and wit. His unique intelligence and skill was shown by his patient ability to fix almost anything that he set his mind to. Mark's most impressive virtues were both his forgiving nature and his readiness to help others, going out of his way, even if they were strangers to him. Sailing was his passion, and he had hoped to navigate around the world in his retirement years. Mark's varied career pursuits led him to work in many facets including as a truck driver, carpenter, and finally a bridge inspector employed by the State of Louisiana's Department of Transportation and Development for the past 28 years. He was also a computer buff from the onset of that technology. Mark was a faithful parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague Church in Harvey, Louisiana.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Mark at his Church, Infant Jesus of Prague Church, in Harvey, Louisiana on March 18th, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
