Mary Ann DeSalvo

Mary Ann (Autin) DeSalvo a lifelong resident of Westwego entered eternal rest on December 2, 2023 at the age of 77, surrounded by family and lots of love and comfort. Mary was a loving wife of 32 years to the late Lucien DeSalvo Sr. Mother of Lucien DeSalvo Jr. (Irma), Tammy Ann DeSalvo (Jeff), Rose Marie DeSalvo (Tim), and Russell Paul DeSalvo. Daughter of the late Marie C. Autin and Alex J. Autin Sr. Daughter-in-law of the late Rosalie and Carlos DeSalvo. Grandmother of Bryan, Brandon (Katie), Dustin, Jason, and Ashley. Great-grandmother of Braelyn, BJ, Aurora, and Bron. Sister of Joyce Naquin, Gerard “Pooney” Autin, and the late Gerald Autin, Allen Autin Sr, and Alex J. “Bozo” Autin. She is also survived by a host of cousins, niece, and nephews.

Mary enjoyed sitting on her porch drinking coffee, doing crossword puzzles, and embroidery. Her best times were spent with her grandchildren. Special thanks to Dee with Heart of Hospice for giving the family the comfort they needed during this difficult time.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, December 8th, 2023 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home. A visitation will begin at 11:00AM an continue until the service time. Interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, Louisiana.
