Mary Elizabeth Giles

Mary Elizabeth Giles, age 64, of Arabi, Louisiana entered her eternal glory on June 19, 2024.

Mary was born in Alexandria, LA on December 30. 1959 to Louella Tate Mattox and the late Thomas Jerry Giles. Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed a wonderfully simple life, where she loved spending time with family and friends - especially her grand and great grand babies. She loved caring for her beautiful plants, playing dice and smoking God's green leaf. She lived her life to the fullest and never missed a good time with family and friends.

She is survived by her spouse of 44 years Patrick Anthony Kelley Sr.; daughter Crystal Vulnavia Dugas and her husband Christopher Joseph Dugas; two step-sons Patrick Anthony Kelley Jr. and Michael Robert Kelley; mother and stepfather Louella and Roy Mattox; siblings the late Thomas Jerry Giles and Johnathan Henry "Johnny" Giles; three grandchildren that adored their Maw Maw: Christopher Joseph Kelley, Daran Victor Kelley and Allie Lynn Dugas; her great-grandchildren Amelia Alice Rose Kelley, Dakota Jaxon Kelley; nieces and nephews Micheal Thomas Giles and his family, Melinda Lee Lane and her family, Matthew Paul Giles, Mitchell James Giles and his family, Mellisa Anne Hicks and her family. Her two sisters from another mister Melva J Vance and her family, and Danette Roppolo Molaison and her family.

A visitation for Mary will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072. A religious ceremony will follow visitation. Mary will be laid to rest at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary's name to assist with funeral costs at GoFundMe; Mary Giles.
