He was predeceased by his wife, Lois Marie Richoux Bourgeois; his parents, Noah Adam Bourgeois Sr. and Gertrude Plaisance; his siblings Eve Elliot, Alice Fonseca (Joe), and Gene Bourgeois; his son Nelson Joseph Bourgeois; and his grandson Thomas Mitchell. Noah retired from Gretna Machine and Iron Works. He trawled and crafted trawling nets, wielded tools with pride, tended a residential farm, cared for animals, and served as a devoted caregiver and comedian to his closest loved ones. An avid outdoorsman, he loved camping, fishing, hunting, reading, going to the camp, and being on the water with family. A home chef at heart, he took pleasure in feeding and sharing time with those he loved, and he was passionate about passing his skills and love of life to others. Noah’s life was a testament to devotion to family, to work, and to the outdoors.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Darline Marie Bourgeois Scheuermann and her husband Ronald Paul Scheuermann; his grandchildren Christina Crane (Clint), Ronald Paul Scheuermann III (Maya), Daniel Bourgeois (Melanie), and Wendy Dollete (Ruben); his great‑grandchildren Noah Gene Scheuermann, Adalene Grace Scheuermann, Tyler Bowen, Selena Baquet, Malorie, Thomas Mitchell Jr., and Christopher Dollete; his great‑great‑grandchild Meadow Baquet; and his sister Anna Mae Breaux (Nolan). He will be dearly missed by many extended family and friends.
