Peter Joseph Frisch Sr., age 73, of Algiers Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Lloyd Frisch Sr. and Mary Ferrari Frisch on January 4, 1950.
He is survived by his fiance, Sylvia Schiffman; his twin brother Walter "Hoppy" Frisch (Kathy); his children Leslie Frisch (Mike), Peter Frisch Jr. (Andrea), Anthony Frisch (Heather), Kellen Taravella and Kelsey Heitmeier-Holstein (Daniel); grandchildren Peter Frisch III, Gina Sarvela, Emily Yepez (Jaime), Carter Sarvela, Michael Bordelon Jr., Dominic Frisch, Evelyn Taravella, Dante Frisch and Victoria Jade Holstein; and great-grandchildren Jeremiah Yepez, Elora Yepez, and one more on the way. Pete is preceded in death by his siblings; Lloyd Frisch Jr., Bonnie Valdes and Billy Frisch. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Pete was a native of Algiers, Louisiana, and Canyon Lake, Texas. He most recently resided in Diamondhead, Mississippi. He proudly served the New Orleans community as a firefighter for 35 years. He also worked alongside his twin brother as a sign painter at Frisch Bros. Signs in Algiers. Pete was known for his charisma, positivity, and bright outlook on life. He made a friend wherever he went, and left an impression wherever life took him. Pete will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.
A Non-Denominational Service will be held for Pete in the Chapel of Westside-Leitz/Eagan Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, on Sunday, December 17th, 2023.
