Richard Martin Pollar, Jr., a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and resident of Marrero, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the age of 74. He was a retired Civil Engineer at the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Survived by his sons Terrance Brown & Genard Bates and his granddaughters Tatyana Brown and Shi Wright etc. from New Orleans, Louisiana. He also had three brothers, Don Ray and Francis Keith (Katrina) Pollar of Chicago, Illinois; Charles Gilbert (Lydia) Pollar, Sr. of Ethel, Louisiana; sister, Lydia Pollar Morris of Gulfport, Mississippi.
Preceded in death by his parents, Richard Pollar, Sr. and Beulah Hutchinson Pollar and his brother, Wayne Pollar.
Visitation will be held at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 455 Ames Boulevard, Marrero, Louisiana on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Family Visitation from 8:00 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. Recitation of the Rosary at 8:45 A.M. Public Visitation from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Fr. Sidney Speaks will be the Celebrant. Interment will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 West Mount Pleasant - Zachary Road, Zachary, Louisiana, 70791.
