Rita Hebert Tassin

Rita Hebert Tassin, of Westwego, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4th, 2022, at the age of 101. She was born in Des Allemands, Louisiana to the late Adonis J. Hebert, Sr. and Nora Terrio Hebert. Rita was married to the late Ernest J. Tassin. Loving mother of Kevin P. Tassin (Donna) and Nadine Tassin Bremer. Sister of the late Bessie Arnondin (Walton), Leo Hebert (Alva), Adonis J. Hebert, Jr. (Anna Mae), Robert J. Hebert (Helen), and Mildred Hebert. Rita is survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who are left to cherish her memory.

Rita's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Wynhoven Healthcare Center and the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Carpenter House for their care and compassion during Rita's time of need.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego, Louisiana. Fr. Buddy Noel will officiate the services. A visitation will begin at 10:00AM at the church and continue until the Mass time. Rita will be laid to rest following the Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum.
