

He was the beloved groom of Charlene Dermady Forshee for 28 years. Son of the late Olie Ernest Forshee Jr. and the late Alva Faye Marsh Forshee; brother of Deborah Forshee, Jackie Forshee Martin (Chet), Pamela Forshee Hebert (the late Ronnie), and Fred Walker; and brother-in-law of Carl Dermady Jr. and Mark Dermady (the late Debbie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is also survived by his rescued feline companions.
He was a resident of Plaquemines Parish for the last 62 of his 67 years. He is remembered as an avid golfer and a huge fan of both the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. He loved his country life, whether it was watching his humming birds, feeding his deer, or just hanging out with his neighbor's dogs. He grew up camping, boating, fishing, and water skiing, and in general enjoying the country life.
The family would like to thank his niece, Miranda Dermady, for all her help with his medical needs, and also thank his friends the Russells in Mississippi who were with him for his last breath, even attempting to save his life.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
