Mr. Robert James Rousse

Robert James Rousse (R.J. or Bob) passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at his home in Westwego, LA at the age of 68. He was the beloved husband of Adeline (Leenie) Hebert Rousse. Preceded in death by his mother and father, Blanchard Rousse and Juanita Favre Rousse, as well as his first wife, Katherine Rousse Gifford, by which he had three daughters, Cheri Leidinger (Jody), Shirley Rousse (Randy), and the late Robin Rousse. Brother of Blanchard Thomas Rousse as well as the late Judy R. Jackson and Ronald Rousse. Grandfather of Al Baker III (Natalie), Katherine Baker, Earl Leidinger III, Meggin Leidinger, and Robert (R.J.) Leidinger. Great grandfather of Annabelle Baker. Step-father of Sue V. Matherne Payne (Kenny) and Lynn LeBlanc (Jimmy). Step-grandfather of Ryan Jay Matherne, Leila S. Guidry, and Lauren Breaux, Step-great grandfather of Adie Lynn Guidry and Alex Kent Guidry. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. R.J. was retired from Painter’s Union #1244 and Avondale Shipyards.

Relatives and friends of the family are welcome to attend the Wake on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, in Marrero, LA., and from 9:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 20, 2012.
