Ruby is survived by her children, Brenda Duet (Claude), Sheryl Gonsoulin (Randy), Cathy Martinez; grandchildren, Keith Duet, Erin Ford, Michelle Phillips, Ryan Gonsoulin, Robin Boudreaux, Michael Lorio, Melissa Evans, Rene’ Bridges, Ray Bridges, Jr.; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl James Martinez; daughter, Earline Martinez Bridges; parents, Oscar and Lillie Wascom; sisters, Edith Penton, Geneva Edmonston; and brother, Louis Wascom.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway. A Funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale.
