Shana Darnette Anderson

Shana Darnette Ott Anderson at 46 years of age of Gretna, Louisiana passed away on March 15, 2021 surrounded by her family. Shana was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Carolyn and Samuel Ott on July 26, 1974.

She went to school at Xavier Prep High School. She graduated from Delgado Community College with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies. She worked as an Admissions Clerk for Touro Infirmary for 19 years. Although Shana may not have participated in many extracurricular activities of her own, she however was her girls biggest cheerleader in supporting them in basketball, cheerleading and any project or sport they participated. Shana was a very loving and devoted mother to her girls. She saw to always giving them the best and was very supportive of their goals and achievements.

Shana is survived by her devoted parents Carolyn S. Ott and her father Samuel E. Ott, her daughters Nyla S. and LeiAnna E. Anderson, former husband Melvin Anderson Jr., Brother Jamar Mosley and his wife Chantele, her Aunts Doris Mosley and Minnie Ausmer, Uncles Willie Mosley and Willie Blanks and her loving niece Janelle Mosley.

A Memorial Service will be held for Shana at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
