Sidney Crawford Foret Sr.

Sidney Crawford Foret Sr., the 6th of 8 children was born to Albert and Irene Foret in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 31st, 1950. He entered the gates of Heaven on March 12, 2026 at the age of 75. He was a lifelong resident of Westwego, Louisiana.

Beloved husband of Kim Davis Foret. Father to Sidney C. Foret, Jr., Heather Lynn Lee (Louis), and Derek Antonine Foret (Brittany). Step Father to Dawn, David, and Dean Plaisance. Paw Paw to Tyson, Hannah, Emily, Sidney "Boi", Julian, Liam, Lucca, and Ryder, as well as seven other grandchildren. Brother to the late Estelle, Albert "Blue", Martha, Wayne, and Charlie Foret. Survived by his siblings, Pamela Foret and Anthony "Tony" Foret, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sidney has touched the lives of many with his unconditional love, generosity, and kindness. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served his country proudly.

There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains. He will forever be missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:30AM and continue until the Service time. Sidney will be laid to rest following the Service at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego, Louisiana.
