Mr. Sterling M. "Buzz" Temento

Sterling “Buzz” Temento, May 28, 1921 – August 25, 2013, retired Realtor. Beloved husband of Maude Haydel Temento for 66 years. Father of Diane Temento Hebert and the late Sterling Temento, Jr. Grandfather of Louis and Lauren Temento, Karen Temento Astugue, Melanie Hebert Wyatt, Craig, and Scott Hebert. Father-in-law of Marlene McCain Temento and Marshall Hebert. Grandfather-in-law of Michael Astugue and Ward Wyatt. Great-grandfather of Katie Astugue, Megan Astugue, Logan Astugue, and Alexander Wyatt. Son of the late Amolia Rausch Temento and Joseph Martin Temento. Brother of the late Mollie Temento Delhommer, Ruby Temento, Emma Temento Becker, Elmore Temento, Henry Temento, and Joseph Temento. Sterling was an avid golfer and LSU fan for many years. He was a charter member of the Banter Fraternity and a member of the Westwego Historical Society. He was a life-member of VFW 6793, having served in CBI in World War II as a Staff Sgt. He was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Westwego and a recipient of the Order of St. Louis IX Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 12:00 Noon.
