Taylor John "Big T" Saluto Sr.

Taylor “Big T” Saluto, Sr. entered eternal rest on Friday, September 21st, 2012 at the age of 76 with his family and friends by his side. He was the beloved husband of Frances Cooper Saluto for 51 years, loving father of Michelle (Pat) Saluto, Taylor, Jr. (Donna) Saluto, Joey (Lisa) Saluto and the late Angie Saluto as well as the devoted grandfather of Nicola (Chris) Saluto, T.J., Scott Jacob and the late Cameron Saluto. He was the son of the late Nicolo Saluto and Mercedes Saluto, brother of Carolyn Pellerin, Ruby Landrum, the late Annie LeBourgeois, Betty Schouest, Russell Saluto and Ruth Breaux. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Sherrel, Lil Mark, Anna Mae, Joyce and Bobby.

Taylor was a United States Veteran having served in the Army and also a former employee for Jefferson Parish with the Drainage Department. He was a Parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Thursday, September 27, 2012, which would have been his 77th birthday, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 Fourth St., Westwego, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and will last until 1:00 PM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held. Burial will then follow at Our Lady or Prompt Succor Cemetery.
