Theresa Cecile Cheramie

Theresa Cecile CHERAMIE, age 93, of Gretna, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Theresa was born October 3, 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Aramise Cheramie. She was survived by three children Debbie Querns (Frank), Donald Cheramie (Lori), and Eva Goris. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Mildred Cheramie. Her legacy will live on through her nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and their spouses. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

Theresa spent many years working at the Mel Ott Pool. She loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. She also loved spending time at the casino playing the slots. Theresa was a strong woman with a spunky personality. All who came in contact with her came to love her dearly.

A visitation for Theresa will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy. 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037.
