Vera Lee DeJesus

Vera Frickey DeJesus went to be with her Savior on December 16, 2018. Vera was 69 years old, born in Westwego, La. on April 12, 1949 to the late Leon Frickey, Sr. and Edith Adams Babineaux. Her step father was the late Joseph Babineaux. Vera's first marriage was to the late Murphy Autin, Jr. Her second marriage was to the love of her life the late Edward DeJesus. She is the mother of Christy Autin Heitmeier (Brian), and the stepmother of Eddie Henning. She is the grandmother of Logan Lee Heitmeier, AbbyLayne Heitmeier, and the late Dax Edward Autin. She is the sister of Betty Gomez (Maurice), Jules Frickey (Kathleen), and the late Edward Frickey and Leon Frickey Jr. (Christine). She is the sister-in-law of Leo DeJesus (Sandee) and Toni Berger (Richard). She is the Aunt of Robert, Rhonda, Lance, Todd, Kevin, Cindy, Katie, Nicole, Leo, Liette, Richard, and the late Troy, Edward Jr., Mona, and Stacey. She also leaves behind her beautiful friends Danielle Woolbright, Chiquita Budd, and Sarah Davidson. Everyone who knew Vera knew she loved Jesus, the New Orleans Saints, she had the biggest heart and was the most giving person. She loved, adored, and spoiled her grandchildren, which brought her much pleasure. She loved Brian like a son and was very appreciative that he came into Christy's life. Christmas was her favorite time and she wrapped the most amazing presents. She made everyone she met feel like family, she gave love freely, her door was always open to anyone who needed anything. She will be sorely missed by many. Brian and Christy would like to thank all their family and friends for all the love and support they have shown. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, December 21, 2018 held at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana.
