Mrs. Victoria Marie Chauvin Savoie

Victoria Marie Chauvin Savoie passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday Afternoon, January 31, 2014. She was 75. Beloved wife of the late Dudley Noah Savoie. Mother of Roy Joseph Savoie (Janice), Dale Robert Savoie, and Shauntele Savoie Yelverton (Shane). Grandmother of Trey Yelverton, Tyler Yelverton, Tabatha Savoie, Brittney Savoie, Dale Savoie, Jr., and Stephanie Miller (Michael). Great-Grandmother of Dominick Savoie, Angelo, Bertellio, Noah Savoie, Daniel Joyce III, Carmelo Alexie, Jr., Dustin Miller, Destiny Miller, and Drake Miller. Sister of Shirley C. Albarado, Elmo J. Chauvin Jr., Lois C. Plaisance, John J. Chauvin, Anna C. Gautreaux, and the Late Leroy P. Chauvin. Daughter of the late Elmo Paul and Lydia Dufrene Chauvin. She was a native of Lockport and resident of Westwego for the majority of her life. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and loved her lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from Westside Leitz-Eagan, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Wednesday Morning, February 5, 2014 at 11:00. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 9:00 Tuesday Evening, and resuming Wednesday Morning from 9:00 until the service. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna.
