Mrs. Viola Karst

Viola Marie “Vo” Guilzo Karst wife of the late Andrew “Andy” John Karst of 58 years entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Viola Falgout Guilzo and Frank Andres Guilzo, Sr. Granddaughter of the late Disire and Adela Falgout and Dominick and Rosalie Guilzo. She is survived by her children, Kathy Karst Theriot (Donald), Lawrence “Larry” Karst, Ted “TJ” Karst (Larrion) and Andre “Dre” Karst. Proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren; Shawn Theriot (Veronica), Troy Theriot (Lisa), Amy T. Pierce (Jared), Jenny Karst (Kerry), Jude Karst (Angela), Sean Karst, Teresa K. Henry (Josh) and her 10 great grandchildren; Nolan Theriot, Dylan Theriot, Jesse Theriot, Gavin Pierce, Aaliyah Jackson, Destiny Karst, Hope Karst, Chance Karst, Isaiah Henry and Patton Henry. Preceded in death her brother and sisters, Rosemary LeRoux, Marion Trupiano, and Frank Guilzo, Jr. Age 80, a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Marrero. “Vo” loved her Catholic faith and was a member of the Lay Carmelite, Mary’s Helper, Blue Army, Altar Society, Servants of Bethany Member and Oblate of the Precious Blood of Jesus. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 11:00 am.
