Walter Joseph Gisclair passed away on April 4, 2026 at the age of 74. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Sidney and Edith Gisclair. Devoted husband of Ophelia Gisclair. Loving father of Wilbert Boudreaux (Tess Breaux) and Karen Perez (Jason, Sr.). Proud grandfather of Dylan Miller (Caroline), Macey Boudreaux, Ethan Boudreaux, Jason Perez, Jr, (Christa) and Jared Perez (Allie). Great-grandfather of Malina Perez, Poppy Miller and Shepherd Miller. Brother of Geraldine Comardelle, Janet Boudreaux, Judy Prewitt, Cynthia Trinks and the late Dorothy Santini, Carolyn Estay, Stella Prejeant and Earl Gisclair. Brother-in-law of Al Boudreaux (Ann) and the late Rose Prejeant, Horace Boudreaux and Edna Coates. Walter is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Walter on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. The visitation will follow at 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM.
