William "Bill" Frederick Hornberger Jr.

William Frederick "Bill" Hornberger, Jr., age 79, of Harvey, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born on August 8th, 1941 in Homestead, Pennsylvania to the late William and Louise (Haney) Hornberger. Bill is survived by the love of his life of 43 years, Diane "Dee" Rose Christen, and his former wife Mary Hornberger. Father of Roxanne Vinet (Gary), William Hornberger III (Liz), Sean Hornberger (Maria), Danny Hornberger (Barbara), Anna O'Dell (Greg), and Sabrina Gros (Scott). Step father of Chad Christen (Lisa). Brother of Linda Stevens (the late Donnie), Rena Daniels (the late Carl), David Hornberger (Betty), and the late Bobby Hornberger (Pat) and Ronnie Hornberger (Georgia). Bill is survived by his 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Bill proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Bill retired from retail management after many years. He loved hunting with his children, grandchildren, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30PM on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021 at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana.
