He is the husband of the late Rilla G. Castle. Carl was born in Bridgeport, Alabama and is the son of the late Joe W. and Fannie Castle.
Carl is survived by his son, C. David (Jann) Castle; daughter, Cynthia C. (David) Capps; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents; 3 brothers, Joe Cephas, James and Marion Castle; and 4 sisters, Velma Soloman, Ruby Massey, Flossie and Rosa Castle.
The family will be celebrating his life privately.
