David Lewis Butler

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11am at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Roy McVeigh officiating.

Born in Aiken, SC, he was the son of David Leonard Butler and the late Sylvia Kinsey Rosier. David loved playing golf. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking yearly trips to Myrtle Beach. He worked a number of years for Auto Supply Company, Advanced Auto Parts, Service Merchandise, Friedman Jewelers, taught and drove a bus for daycare. David was musically gifted. He played the guitar, piano and made a record.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his sons, Matthew (Kimberly) Butler, Brent Butler of Martinez and their mother Julie Callandt, Nicholas Butler, Jake Butler, of Grovetown and their mother Jennifer Robinson, brother, Kinsey (Denise) Butler, Grovetown, GA, and sister, LeAnn Butler Lovin, Martinez, GA.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 6-8pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
