Gary was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He proudly served in the Army as a Captain. He was retired from the Richmond County Forestry. He also had a passion for fixing his cars in the garage.
Gary is survived by his wife of 54 years Judy McFerrin; his son Gary McFerrin Jr.; daughter Kristy Russell; his beloved grandchildren Oshyn and John Russell and Kathy Grimes; sister Lee Grimes; brother in law Jim Slagle; Rick Slagle; Charlie May; and sister in law Ellie Scott and Billie Whitmire.
A Graveside service will be held at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA 30813 on December 14, 2022 at 1pm.
