Mr. Callaway was a native of Augusta, and lived most of his life in Appling, GA. He was the youngest son of the late Brantly and Ruby Callaway. He attended University of GA and also graduated from the Southern Technical Institute. He retired Federal Aviation Administration. Mr. Callaway also served in the United States Army for 2 years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Callaway is preceded in death by his siblings, Brantly “Buddy” Callaway Jr., David Callaway, Catherine Cook, Helen Roth and Mary Boudreau. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11am, Monday, May 5, 2025 at Summerville Cemetery in Augusta, GA with Rev. Carson Britt officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Harlem Baptist Church, P.O. Box 790, 105 W. Milledgeville Road Harlem, GA 30814.
