

Mr. John “Paw Paw” Braddy, 82, of Belvedere, SC joined his wife Betty of 57 years in Heaven on July 21, 2013 at GA Regents Medical Center, exactly 2 years to the date of the anniversary of her death.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 4pm in the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Father Rob Hartley officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Brent Freeman, Bryan Freeman, Daishawn Staley, Kaleb Clevenger, Franklin Konarik, Ralph Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Born in Brundidge, AL, he was the son of the late Gilford Dennis Braddy and Addie Luvena Jackson Braddy. He was a retired electrical engineer from AT&T. He was a member of Old Richmond Evangelical Methodist Church, New Outlook Pioneers, and The American Legion Post # 290.
He was an avid fan of the Brave’s Baseball team. He enjoyed watching western movies and telling stories of all his travels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Moss Braddy, son, Les Braddy, brothers, Robert Braddy, Glinon Braddy, and Aaron Braddy. He is survived by his son, Dennis (Chris) Braddy, Belvedere, SC, Sister, Martha Cook, Milledgeville, GA, grandchildren, Brandi Plagwitz, Jeffrey Braddy, Brett Williams, Elizabeth Braddy Smith, Mikayla Braddy, Elijah Braddy, Jessica Braddy Cliett, Jennifer Greene, and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
