Loretta P Glasscock

Mrs. Glasscock was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania, on January 28, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Virginia Morris Petroski and Vincent Petroski and Wilford Morris. She was the wife of her high school sweetheart, James A. Glasscock, Sr. They were married for 67 years. Mrs. Glasscock is also survived by her children, Becky Burrell and her husband Michael of Hilton Head, SC and Jim Glasscock, Jr. and his wife Becky of Martinez, GA; three grandsons, Mike Burrell and his wife Jaclyn of Atlanta, GA and Jamie Burrell and his wife Britany of Port Wentworth, GA and James Glasscock and his wife Carla of Martinez, GA; and four great grandchildren, Jackson, Kaitlyn, Caden, and Kayleigh. Mrs. Glasscock is also survived by one sister, Judy Walters of Townsend, TN and one brother-in-law, Steve Glasscock of Ridgeway, SC. Mrs. Glasscock was predeceased by her younger son, Vince Glasscock, and her brother Gary Petroski and her parents.

Mrs. Glasscock was a homemaker and did a fine job at providing for her family. She handled her financial household accounts like a first rate accountant. She prepared meals like a well seasoned chef. She cleaned her house with white gloves. She taught manners, values, and even reading, writing and arithmetic. Mrs. Glasscock was a proud U.S. Army wife for 32 years.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA. Family visitation will begin at 3:30 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to an organization of your choice.
