Michael R. Walker

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irmgard Walker.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sandra Walker; his children, Brandi Walker and Robert Walker; his grandson, Dylan Walker; his siblings Trudy Goodnight and Dani Walker.

Michael was a loving husband of 45 years to Sandra. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. He was the favorite Uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Michael retired from the U.S Army after serving his country honorably for 27 years and earning the rank of Master Sergeant. After he retired from active duty he worked for the Department of Defense for 10 years. Michael and Sandra enjoyed traveling and discovering the history of the places they visited. Michael enjoyed gardening and took pride in his yard. Michael was a avid football and golf fan. He was a New Orleans Saints fan his entire life and had the opportunity to cheer the Saints on to victory with his son Rob at the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami. His contagious smile, quick wit, and unconditional love for his family will be missed forever.

A celebration of life for Michael Walker will be held at the Stratford clubhouse on July 12th from 3-6pm, located at 1328 Aylesbury Drive, Evans, GA 30809.
