Shelvie Meetze Schehr

Shelvie is preceded in death by her husband, Richard John Schehr Jr. and her parents, Benjamin and Emmie Meetze.

Shelvie is survived by her children; Lisa Thweatt (Bill), Cal Bruce (Brenda), and Cathy Buss (Keith); her daughter in love, Terri Yurczyek; her son in love, Steven Schehr; her grandchildren, Kenan Bruce, Christopher Bruce, Stephen Bruce, Brittany Rashbrook and Hannah Majewski; 7 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ralph Meetze; her sister, Ann Addy and several nieces and nephews.

Shelvie was known to support veterans with her donations to many different organizations. She loved her animals and spending time with family. She enjoyed watching and supporting the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons. She knew many details about the team and players. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed dearly, but her memory will be treasured forever.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 10 am until 11 am at Elliott Sons Funeral Home at 4255 Columbia Road Martinez, GA 30907. A funeral service will be immediately after visitation in the chapel.

Shelvie will be laid to rest at Bellevue Memorial Gardens at 4501 Wrightsboro Road Grovetown, GA 30813 following the service.
