Tony Dee Gibson

Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife, Cheryl Gibson; his daughter, Sydney Gibson; step-daughter, Brett Brown (Luke); four grandchildren, Emery, Ethan, Cassidy, and Noel; his parents, Olin and Myra Jean Gibson; and his sister, Sharon Gibson.

He was a 1985 graduate of Hephzibah High School. He worked for Resolute Forest Products for over 30 years where he had many beloved friends and coworkers. He was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church. Tony loved the outdoors, and the beach was his favorite place to be. He loved football, and was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He was extremely proud that his daughter, Sydney, was a student there. He loved his dogs, Sophie and Lola, and his lap was one of their favorite places to be.

He was loved by many people, especially for his sense of humor. His presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 8pm on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Rd, Martinez, GA 30907. The family will receive friends from 6:30pm until the hour of service.
