Victor "Vic" L Bennett

Mr. Victor "Vic" L. Bennett, 62, of Grovetown, GA, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at his residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 6pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA. The family will receive friends after the service. Born in Dunbar, WV, he was the son of Anna Jean Greathouse Bennett and the late Leslie Albert Bennett. He retired after 27 years in the Navy as a Command Master Chief. He worked as a casino manager and for General Electric after retiring from the Navy. He was a member of Car Club, Cruising Club. He enjoyed bass fishing, collecting trains, and attending car shows. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sweetheart of 34 years, Debby Bennett, stepson, Chris and Shannon Myers, sister, Carol and Jack Schwarzenbach, brother, Keith Bennett, brother in law John and Lorie Ridgeway, grandchildren, Victoria Myers, Jerry Myers, niece, Christina and Mike O'shea, nephew, Eric and Jillian Schwarzenbach, best friends, Loy and Walley Miller, Richard and Jan Bibber, Amanda and Gary Owens, and Rainey Rose. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House.
