Wayne Gilbert Raisner

Maj. (Ret.) Wayne Gilbert Raisner of Evans, GA entered into eternal rest on August 22, 2016 at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. Wayne served in the United States Army for 20 years, enlisting in 1978 and receiving his commission in 1980. He was an avid outdoorsman, obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout as well as being inducted into the Order of the Arrow with the Boy Scouts of America. Wayne also rose to the degree of Master Mason with the M.W. Grand Lodge of the State of Georgia.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Gilbert O’Neil Raisner. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Raisner, children Christine Lamb and her husband John, Mark Raisner and David Raisner; grandchildren, Jack and Evan Lamb, mother, Marion Brahm Raisner; brother Glenn Raisner and his wife Amy; sisters, Dawn Lombardo and her husband David and Holly Hengeveld and her husband Tim; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services with Military Honors will be held 12 pm, Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends starting at 11:00.
