Annie was a remarkable wife, mother, and grandmother. Although, she was born in Berkeley County and lived in Martinsburg her entire adult life, due to multiple illnesses, she has been living with her son since December, 2023.
Born during the Great Depression, Annie grew up on a farm with her large family, 10 siblings. She loved to tell stories about working on the farm with her dad and brother, and their Saturday evening walks to the general store to receive a reward of candy, ice cream, and sodas for the hard work that week.
She married her late husband, Ronald W. Imbach, Sr., in 1961, and was married to him over 60 years until his death in 2021. They had one child, Ron Jr., and loved to travel, tell great stories, and were often the center of activity for the local neighborhood children. Football in their backyard, trips to amusement parks with friends, and the best recreation room in the neighborhood meant there was always activity at their home.
Annie had one grandson, Kyle, who was the apple of her eye. She and his grandpa loved to spend time with him on trips to the zoo, local restaurants, or just to watch one of his favorite Disney or Pixar movies.
She loved her home and her neighbors on Meadow Lane, where she lived for nearly 58 years. Annie also loved her flowers, all animals, especially her kitties, and spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors. Love is a common word, because Annie loved just about everyone she met.
Annie is survived by her son, Ron, and grandson, Kyle. Most of Annie’s, family has passed, including, six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Harmison and Kathleen Hinkle, and Kathleen’s children, and their families. Other children from her deceased siblings also survive Annie.
In lieu of gifts and flowers, the family asks you to prayerfully consider a gift to your favorite charity researching a cure for cancer, which took Annie’s life, or a charity striving to find a cure and treatment for kidney disease or heart disease, which took the life of her late husband.
A visitation will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on May 23, 2024 from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be at Rosedale on May 24, 2024 at 10 am with burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
