Bethney English

Born April 17, 1966 in Olney, Maryland, she was the daughter of Robert Earl Woods and Virginia Ruth Osborne.

Beth’s passions included designing flower arrangements and making every person she came in contact with feel happy, comfortable, and loved. On any given day she could be seen vacuuming around the house, making sweet tea, and making sure the grass was cut.

She is survived by her daughters: Magen Surber Staley and Sage Burdette; her son, Michael Spisak II; her sister, Virginia “Ginny” Barnett; her brother, James “Woody” Woods; her grandchildren: McKayla Staley and Adriana Staley; her nieces: Jamie, Jessica, Jennifer, Kasey, Heather; and great friends: Mike Spisak and Bruce Burdette.

In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Larry English; and her sisters: Marjorie Stanley and Brenda Elaine “Gus” Roberts.

Friends will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.

In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Coleman foundation.
