

She was born on August 26, 1939, in Dallas, PA, to Elmer and Eltha Dymond. On June 12, 1957, she married the love of her life, James George Gansel, Sr. God blessed them with 67 years of marriage and three wonderful children.
Betty is survived by her children, Donna Gansel of Charles Town, Diana “Lynn” Gansel, of Ranson, Jim and Sue Gansel of Lovettsville, VA. Also surviving, beloved grandchildren, AJ Gansel, Kelley Gansel (Carlos) and Holly Gansel (Wilmar) and great-grandson, Tyler. She is also survived by 3 sisters, a brother and many loved and cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, James George Gansel, Sr.
Betty was a medical receptionist and billing specialist for many years, working for several doctors during her career.
She loved to be with family and friends. Playful and funny, she was quick to pull a prank and make others laugh. She enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards.
Her heart was so full of unconditional love, that everyone that she met was drawn to her. She had hugs and love for and from everybody that was in her sphere and she will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 6 – 9 PM at Fellowship Bible Church, 160 Daniel Road, Shenandoah Junction, WV, 25442, as well as from 10 AM – 11 AM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg, and a fellowship meal will follow for all family and friends afterward at Fellowship Bible Church.
