Beverly A Rogers

Beverly Ann Rogers, 73, of Mechanicsville Virginia passed away on December 11, 2017 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family. Born June 12, 1944 in Martinsburg to the late James Stewart Scott and Evelyn Ruth Bohrer.

Beverly retired after 30 years of service to Berkeley County Schools Transportation Department. 24 of those years as a school bus driver and for 6 years she was a transportation supervisor.

She loved the simple things in life like relaxing in her pajamas watching the Waltons and Reba on television. Beverly also loved to be active she was on a bowling team for many years, and played short stop in softball.

Beverly’s favorite things in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Some of the family’s favorite memories are of times spent playing cards. She loved her dogs Zoe, and her grand dog Charlie.

Beverly will be sadly missed by her daughters: Kelly Rogers, Kandi Anderson and husband Kerry; son: Glen Rogers; grandchildren: Jennifer Hutzler, T.C. Hutzler and wife Brandy, Heather Aldridge, Chase Aldridge, Samantha Aldridge, Ross Anderson, Jeremy Anderson; great grandchildren: Madison Hutzler, Kendall Hutzler, Logan Kelly; 4 brothers and 4 sisters and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Gary Rogers.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
