Carl E. Dunlap Sr.

Carl Eugene Dunlap, Sr., of Martinsburg, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at City Hospital.

Born March 4, 1936 in Berkeley County, he was the son of the late Walter Sylvester Dunlap and Grace L. (Davis) Willison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley D. (Hughes) Dunlap, two brothers, Wayne and Donald Dunlap, and two sisters, Ruthann Gay and Pauline Kipps.

He will be sadly missed by three sons, Vernon Dunlap, Sr. of Martinsburg, Carl E. Dunlap, Jr., and his wife Cynthia, of Martinsburg, and Larry M. Dunlap, and his wife Elsie, of Middleway. A brother, James W. Dunlap, and his wife Maribel, of Columbus, OH, and a sister, Louraine Ingram of St. Albans, WV; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Malatt, Tabitha Sanders, Vernon Dunlap, Jr., Amber Palmer, Brian Leonard, Brittany Pranther, Tammy Getts, and Keira Chikotas.

He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Thursday, August, 9, 2012 from 7-9 at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, at 11 AM in Rosedale Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Kenney officiating. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
