Tom was a 1967 graduate of Martinsburg High School and attended Shepherd College.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janet (Caton) Conner; son, Ryan and his fiancé Krystal Anderson; grandson, Dylan; step-grandchildren-to-be: Jordin Clarke and Tahlia Ramirez; sister, Brenda Jo Conner Breeden and fiancé Kevin Weadon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tom was an Eagle Scout who enjoyed talking about the Jamborees, summers at Rock Enon and camping trips. He loved to spend time with his family; he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He mostly enjoyed fishing at Dale Hollow with his son and in Canada with friends. He worked at Dupont for 44 years, retiring in 2010.
A memorial service will be held at Mt. Zion Episcopal Church in Hedgesville Saturday at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or a non-profit of your choice.
