

Charles R. Mann, age 86, passed away on March 30, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born on October 13, 1938, Charles was a resident of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Known for his adventurous spirit and hard-working nature, he was cherished by all who knew him.
A proud veteran, Charles served his country with honor in the United States Air Force as an aerial refueler. Following his military service, he worked at Corning Glass and later retired from Mack Truck as a machinist. His dedication to his work was matched only by his honesty and integrity.
An avid outdoorsman, Charles loved hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends and his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Shirley Mann; his children: Desmond L. Mann, Cynthia L. Singhas and husband, Edward, Brian J. Mann, and Anthony R. Mann and wife, Brianne; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles B. Mann; his mother, Naomi N. Mann; sisters: Betty J. Starliper and Mae Stewart; and his great-grandson, Liam J. Mann.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 5-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of the Panhandle for their support and care. The love and compassion shown by their staff will always be remembered.
Charles will be remembered for his famous quotes, "Whatever" and "I haven't decided yet," which captured his unique perspective on life. He leaves behind a legacy of wisdom and love that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
