Dora Elizabeth “Little Bea” Williams was born on September 29, 1930 at King’s Daughter Hospital in Martinsburg, WV to the late Dora M. Lee and Edward Lee. She went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2012 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and nieces.
Dora was retired from Heartland of Martinsburg where she was employed for 35 years as a CNA. She received many awards and certificates for outstanding work while she was employed there.
Dora was a faithful lifetime member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Martinsburg, WV. Dora received the “Most Outstanding Mother of the Year Award from 96.3 WHUR in 2007.
She was preceded in death by Charles F. William (Turtle) son; Harry Williams son; sisters, Margaret Coles and Ida Lee; brothers, Raymond (Bub) Lee, Edward Lee (Bozie) and Harry Lee.
Dora leaves behind her children – Linda Williams, daughter Hedgesville, WV; Sonia Arrington, daughter and son-in-law, Travis of Martinsburg; Reggie Williams and wife Theda of Hedgesville, WV; Carrie Hamilton, daughter and son-in-law Keith, Winchester, VA; Antonio Flores son and daughter-in-law Kim, Martinsburg, WV; Ronald Williams son, Irma Williams, daughter, and Juan Flores, son, Hedgesville, WV. Dora also leaves behind Charles Lee, brother and wife Peggy, Kearneysville, WV; Andrew Lee, brother and wife Linda of Martinsburg, WV; sisters Martha Jane Tyler, Gaithersburg, MD; and Irma Sewell, Martinsburg, WV. She also leaves behind 27 grandchildren, Ivory Shedd, Amber Shedd, Jessica Barnes, Richard Shedd Jr., Rico Williams, Tashia Williams, Summer Files, Chad Williams, Reggie Williams, Jennifer Ingram, Aaron Smith, Yolanda Florence, Tameka Booker, Yolanda Daviss,
Misha Hamilton, Bobbi Hamilton, Justin Williams, Mary Williams, Cody Flores, Ty Flores, Tianna Flores, Dallas Williams, Tesha Williams, Linda Williams, Stacey Williams, Hamanni Hamilton, and Keyonda Florence whom she helped raised.
She also leaves behind 4 dear friends, Pete Brown, Velda Brown, Jean Johnson, and Juanita Dotson; a very close sister-in-law, Harriet Lee and her favorite nieces- Trudie Dozier, Brenda Russ Noble, Teresa Gray, and Leslie Clark and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be at Rosedale Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 6-8PM.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Hedgesville United Methodist Church, 201 S. Mary St. Hedgesville, WV 25427.
Interment will follow in Hedgesville Cemetery.
