

Born on April 22, 1953 in Lovettsville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Sam and Mildred George.
Frank was a loving husband, father, and granddaddy. He friended most everyone who he met and was loved by many. Frank was known as the “Hog Man” or “The Sausage Man” for his many years of annual butcherings bringing family and friends together in fellowship year after year.
He was full of life, smiles, laughter, jokes, pranks, and sarcasm until the very end. He will be greatly missed by all.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jane George; one brother, John George of Knoxville, MD; his children: Amy Ewald and husband, Thomas of Waxahachie, Texas, Shellie Manning and husband, John of Inwood; Greg W. George and partner, Lori Lahman of Martinsburg, Amy Westin and husband, Christopher of Falling Waters, Amanda Savage of Martinsburg, and M. Lynne Hines of Frederick, MD; eighteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, May 30th from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
At Frank’s request, casual attire such as jeans and t-shirts are requested.
