Joan Grant Raney

Born on August 14, 1935 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Mildred Pitzer Grant.

Joan retired from Knouse Foods after 30 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist. Joan enjoyed reading and traveling, especially on bus trips. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who called her GG.

Joan is survived by her children: Kimberly Allen and husband, Donald, Kevin Raney and wife, Cathy, and Kenda Bedgar; grandchildren: Kristopher Allen and wife Rebecca, Kaitlin Allen and Justin, Stephanie Smith and husband, Danny, Megan Seal and husband Michael, Justin Raney and Isabel, Kylie Bedgar, and Aiden Bedgar; and great-grandchildren: Danny PD Smith, Georgia Smith, Addyson Seal, Ezekiel Seal, and Caden Seal.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Porterfield Raney; her twin sister, Jean Murphy; and brothers: Charles and George Grant.

Family and friends will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 4-6pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to www.RosedaleFuneral.com
