John Raymond Butts, 78, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at his home.
Born September 1, 1932 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late John David Butts and Cathrine “Katie” Lucille (Snell) Butts.
He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church in Inwood, the Knights of Columbus and the Cofounder of the Leukemia Radio-a-thon in the Martinsburg area.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ellis Butts.
John will be sadly missed by his son, David R. Butts of Martinsburg, a daughter, Mary Edie Butts Leonard of Martinsburg, two sisters, Diane Wagner and Barbara Fries both of Martinsburg and four grandchildren, Christopher Butts, Casey Silver, Nicholas and Jason Butts and eight great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Rosedale Funeral Home.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Inwood at 10:30AM with Father Brian Shoda officiating.
