Lorraine E Rice

Lorraine, known to many as Rainey was born February 21, 1939 in Martinsburg West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Barbara Marshall Elliott and William Lee Palmer.

She was a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church.

She is Survived by her daughter Angela Rice (Jesus), Pamela Tinsman, Debra Morgan (Terry); sons Tracy Rice (Heather) Terry Tinsman (Denise) and Daryl Tinsman, all of Martinsburg; Step daughter Gail Oxendine and Betty Hunt; Step sons Earl Rice (Bertha), Dennis Rice (Inez) Carl Rice (Connie). Two sisters Ilene Smith of Hedgesville, WV and Barbara Glass (Ben) of Pennsylvania, a grandson she raised, Caleb Andrew Roy. Five extraordinary Grandchildren Maricela Enciso (Jose), Alondra Licona (Cesar), Victoria Garcia, Daniel Rice, Delilah Rice, along with twelve others. Also her daily motivation was Aczel, Josiah, Harlan and Santiago Enciso along with four additional great grandchildren plus more step grand-great, and great great grand children, more than can be counted.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Roy Lee Rice, with whom she raised and loved an enormous family, also her daughter Carole Ann Rice Roy, step-daughters Margret McFadden, Mary J Socks and step-son Ricky Rice; one sister Faye Knipple and one brother William Palmer.

A Visitation will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm.

Funeral services will be at Rosedale Funeral Home on March 14, 2022 at 11am with Burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
