Lynda Browne

Lynda McKay Browne, 83, passed away on January 30, 2026. Born October 23, 1942 in Williamsport PA. Lynda of Martinsburg, West Virginia, formerly of Heathsville VA, , leaving behind a life well lived, deeply loved, and fondly remembered.

Lynda was the very definition of kind, strong, caring, thoughtful, and loving. As a hardworking mother, she raised her two sons, Albert (Ted) Browne and Kelly Browne, with determination, humor, and an unwavering sense of responsibility—often managing to make everyone laugh even when life was doing its best to be difficult.

Lynda built a successful career, as an office manager earning the respect of colleagues through her dedication, reliability, and sharp wit. She had a gift for keeping things (and people) organized, usually while delivering a perfectly timed funny remark that reminded everyone not to take life too seriously.

Above all else, Lynda loved her family. Lynda is survived by son Albert (Ted) Browne, daughter-in-law Lena; son Kelly Browne, daughter-in-law Cassie. She was a proud and loving grandmother to her grandchildren: through Kelly: Colbie and Olivia; and through Albert (Ted): Jonathan, Natalia, Valerie, and Andrew.

She is cherished by many whose lives she touched through her kindness, humor, and steady presence.

Lynda will be remembered as a woman who worked hard, loved deeply, laughed often, and showed up for the people who mattered.. Her legacy lives on in her sons, her grandchildren and in the many hearts she touched along the way.
