Melissa Louise Schreiner

Melissa Louise Schreiner, 41, of Clear Brook, Virginia, passed away on May 5, 2025. Born on February 9, 1984. Throughout life Melissa has adored yellow snapdragons which symbolize passion, love, and desire much like her. Her passion for creating, her love for animals and people around her, and her desire to never give up. Melissa was a devoted wife, a loving mother of two, a precious daughter, and a friend to many.

Melissa had a deep love for animals- rescuing and caring for them with open arms and an even bigger heart. She had a special bond with horses and found peace in riding, a reflection of her free spirit and strength. Her presence was magnetic, her heart endlessly giving.

She spent her days caring for others- working with children at Stonewall Elementary School, always listening, always encouraging. Whether she was in the classroom or at home, Melissa had a gift for making people feel seen and valued. She believed deeply in the power of dreams and never missed a chance to remind others to never give up.

She is survived by her loving husband, Björn Schreiner, her two beloved children, Gabriella and Brooke Schreiner, her parents, Michael and Carolyn Tompkins, and her two siblings, Mike and Laura Tompkins. Her love, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A service will be held in her honor at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church with a Gathering of Family and Friends on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 10am to the start of the funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
