Mildred L. Barron

Born July 6, 1922 in Berkeley County, she was the only child of the late Gold R. Minghini and Lillie H. (Shirley) Minghini. She was the last living member of her family.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church for over 64 years. She served as a member of the Administrative Board and the Council of Ministries. For many years she was a member of Calvary’s Chancel Choir and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

She graduated from Hedgesville High School in the Class of 1941; and retired from General Motors Corp. in 1982.

She is survived by her sons: Richard L. Gosnell and wife, Joyce Anne of Martinsburg, and Larry R. Gosnell and wife, Margaret of Centreville, Virginia; grandchildren: Lisa Griffith (Mark) of Martinsburg, Michele Subora (Cary) of Martinsburg, Sherry Hawver (Allen) of Roncevert, Todd Gosnell of Martinsburg, Jessica Caron (Joseph) of State College, Pennsylvania, and Kathryn Gosnell of Durham, North Carolina; great-grandchildren: Emma Subora, Abby and Sam Hawver, and Jake and Ben Gosnell; and niece, Marva Barron, and other nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 9am until the time of the funeral service at 10am at Rosedale Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
