She departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, September 16, 2012, under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle. She loved her friends at Hospice and they loved her.
Naomi was the last child of Oscar Wilde Thompson and Mary Susan Fox Thompson.
She married the love of her life, Guy Ward Wright on February 17, 1946. They were married 54 years until his passing in 2000. They worked together both retiring from Corning Glass works in 1986.
Naomi loved crocheting everything from doll clothes to car seat covers.
In the last eight years of her life, she suffered from Alzheimer’s and was moved to the home of daughter Susan and son-in-law Ron; making this chapter of her life as comfortable as possible.
She enjoyed seeing Ron bringing her sausage gravy and biscuits in the mornings. She would always smile seeing her friend and neighbor Kathy, laughing and singing together. Even though the illness was dimming her, she was well loved and cared for always.
She is survived by two daughters Susan and husband Ronald Morrison of Martinsburg; and Brenda and husband Reggie Hall of Bunker Hill; grandson Lee Stanley Jones III and wife April of Martinsburg; two great-grandchildren Donovan and D.J.; and one nephew Kenneth W. Brill of Akin, SC.
Naomi is preceded in death by her husband, Guy W. Wright; all her siblings; and her granddaughter Rachel Leah Morrison.
Graveside services will be held September 19, 2012 at 3pm at Rosedale Cemetery with Rev. Carl Baker of Rosemount Grace Brethren Church officiating. Friends and Family are welcome.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Dr. Rick Farley at the Martinsburg Christian Center, 300 East Stephen St. Martinsburg, WV 25401; where Mrs. Wright attended services in her last years.
