

He was born Dec. 19, 1949, in Lynchburg, VA, to Marion Grant and Dorothy Louise Angus, now deceased.
Robert graduated from Wakefield High School and launched a 31-year career as a theatrical stage technician. He worked at The Kennedy Center and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. He also was part of the crew for many movies filmed in the Washington, DC, area, including “Loose Cannons,” starring Dan Aykroyd, Dom DeLuise and Gene Hackman; “Gardens of Stone,” featuring James Caan, Anjelica Huston and James Earl Jones; and “The Man with One Red Shoe,” starring Tom Hanks and Dabney Coleman.
He was a member of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 22.
After retiring 25 years ago, Robert kept himself busy by doing odd jobs, including selling air conditioners for The Home Depot, and driving limousines, school buses and shuttles. He enjoyed spending time with his family in Ocean City, MD, gardening, rooting for the Washington Commanders and dressing up for holidays.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Ann Angus; three daughters, Shannon (Steve) Lanham of Martinsburg; Alicia (Jim) Townes of Chantilly, VA; and Casey Angus of Charles Town; one son, Shane (Kristen) Angus of Centreville, VA; four grandchildren, Faith Lanham, Patrick Townes, and Hattie and Ella Angus; one brother, Ronald Angus of Manassas, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, John and Kenneth Angus; and a daughter, Kimberly Angus.
Robert’s family will host a celebration of his life as a devoted husband and father at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Rosedale Funeral Home and Cemetery in Martinsburg.
