

Born September 27, 1961, in Baltimore City, Maryland to Wendell Canady and the late Edna Lee Chavis Canady.
Trena was a Native American and a member of the Lumbee Tribe in Robeson County, North Carolina.
She attended Inwood Family Worship Center and was involved with several other local churches.
Trena was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Mitchem, one son; David-Alan Mitchem of Back Creek Valley, one daughter; Serena L. DeHaven and husband Jay of Hedgesville, five grandchildren; Elijah J. DeHaven, Emily L. DeHaven, Eden F. DeHaven, Easton S. DeHaven and Eyndia M. DeHaven, three sisters; Freda Mason and husband Keith of Baltimore, MD, Joanie Jacobs and husband Jr. of Lumberton, NC, and Wendy Canady of Lumberton, NC, and several dearly loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one sister; Carmen Dale Canady.
Friends will be received on Wednesday August 28th from 7-9pm at Rosedale Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 29th at 1:00 at Inwood Family Worship Center with Pastors Ron Morris, David Palmer, and Tom Snyder officiating.
Interment will follow at Back Creek Valley Full Gospel Cemetery.
